<p>I just got the email from cal said they are unable to award me with The Achievement Award Program scholarship. Then I wanna know is it a bad sign for cal admission?</p>
<p>It has nothing to do with your Cal Admission it can only do you good. If you get the award, that almost guarantees you a spot at cal otherwise it doesn’t affect anything else.</p>

Really? The OSP told me that whether or not I get an interview e-mail (which I did) it still had no significance in my admission, since they are completely separate departments.</p>

<p>Cal is short for California, the nickname of UC Berkeley.</p>
<p>Oh, I knew Cal stood for California, but didn’t know it was for Berkeley. 
I live in California and when people refer to “Cal” for college, we’re always talking Cal State.</p>
