Is it a dream?

hi, ok I will first admit BC is a reach but its also a dream school for me, when we visited I just fell in love! My gpa is weaker than I would like because of a horrible 9th grade year but I have been on a upward swing ever since and this year am enrolled in a full IB very rigorous program, and my average hovers from last year and this year so far at about a 89/90. I have a good amt of ec’s, lots of comm.service hours, hold a part time job, wrote a very strong essay and neither of parents went to college (mentioning for whatever edge that might give me, even if just a tiny one), my cousin goes there, know thats not worth much and my first round sat’s are:
Math 700 Reading 600 Writing 660.
I am taking them again in October and the SAT2’s in November. I took a recent full seated timed SAT last weekend and got 720 Math, 640 reading and 740 writing, so am aiming for a much higher score in October. My question is

  1. Do I stand a chance?
  2. Does it make a difference if I apply early action or regular decision?
Your opinions and tips are most appreciated.
    THANKS!

Do I stand a chance?
Yes, a good chance.

Does it make a difference if I apply early action or regular decision?
Emphatically No. BC does not consider expressed interest so apply EA or regular does not make a different. In your case I would apply regular to boost up the senior grade and have more time to write good essay.

Good luck and I hope we will see you here next fall.
