I honestly have a passion with both fields of study. In the summer time I spend hours volunteering at a hospital while during school I actively run a small amazon merchant as well as observe and trade in the stock market. I'm kind of havi a difficult time deciding on what I want to do but am thinking about the possibility of doing both.

Is it wise to to take business courses at McCombs along with Pre Med courses? Will I be in a severe disadvantage when I apply to med schools? Are the courses simply too much to handle together?

Any thoughts?

You’ll be fine. I have many friends that are business/pre-med. You’ll have to take extra classes since some pre-med pre-reqs do not overlap with the business degree, but for the most part you will in 4 years.

There is no disadvantage when applying to medical school. As long as you are well rounded, you will be competitive.

I’d say do it. Pharma hedge funds actually hire MDs to look at the probability of future drugs being approved by the FDA. Might be something that’d interest you.

And I believe I remember seeing your resume when my bank recruited at McCombs.

@i didn’t send a resume yet haha. Thanks for the advice though.
