<p>I’ve basically raised myself because my parents moved here when I was born, and I’ve learned almost everything on my own. Is it a good idea to write about this in my “describe how your world as shaped your dreams and aspirations” essay? I feel like it conveys how I’m an efficiently independent individual. For the dreams and aspirations part, I will say that because of my independence I want to have a job where I work alone because that’s what I’m used too (financial advisor, etc). And what do you think about writing about how my life’s independence makes me want to be a worker in the future that heavily collaborates with others (the opposite)?</p>

<p>Don’t make this remark. Schools want kids who can contribute positively to the overall community. This remark makes u sound reclusive & bitter.</p>
