My son got a letter yesterday dated 1/20 from our senator saying he just recently heard that Jake received a nomination from another congressional source and so will not be giving him a nomination as it won't be needed. He said that the nomination was well-deserved etc...The problem is that we haven't received this "nomination" yet!
Suggestions?

Break out the champagne! Congratulations, he must know something you don't! What a strange way to find out. :)

check the candidate information system. maybe thats where the senator found out. congrats!

Oregon Mom,
Was that letter from Senator Smith? If so, I received the same one yesterday (the 21st.) I received my nomination from my Congressman, and his office was real quick about letting me know. The other Senator's office from Oregon was always real slow in sending out info, possibly you got one from him?

Yes it was from Senator Smith. No way from Wyden! His office is the worst. Jake couldn't even get them to respond. If we could complain and have any result, we would. He is being paid a lot of money and the nomination stuff is part of his duties. We have Darlene Hooley as our congresswoman and I guess the nomination should be from her. She gave him one last year prematurely.
