Is it a problem if...???

I am looking at top tier schools and obviously have to take 3 subject tests. I have taken math IC and literature (june 2nd) and will be taking the other one(s) (depends if i have to retake) in october. I have seen some posters say that you need a science SAT subject test.

This is where my problem comes in. I took biology in 8th grade and chemistry in 9th grade. This leaves physics, which i took this year (junior year). But my physics teacher is a joke and didn't teach us at all. Like not even a little. So i will do abysmally on the physics test and I haven't taken the other sciences in so long.

What do I do? Do I self-study for one of the sciences and hope for the best? I would prefer to take one of the histories or even french, but i feel that i would perform weakly on the science tests. I need help and any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd check the requirements for your specific schools before you start self-studying anything - I've seen places that specifically request math, but none that say you must have science. (For that matter, most of the places I've looked have only asked for two...)

It's usually recommended to have one SAT from a math or science and another one from a humanistic subject. You have one from both groups, so you are free to choose any of the others for the third exam.

Actually, very, very few schools (even top tier ones) require 3 subject tests. I suggest that you look at the websites of the schools you're looking to apply to to see their SAT II requirements.

With the exception of a few safeties, all of the schools I am applying to want at least two and for the most part three subject tests. So since i have taken a math and lit., it should be okay? This will help me out a lot and save me from having to self study for a science. Thanks again.
