I applied to UNC and about a week ago I got a follow on Instagram called UNC apartments. They are on campus apartments for students. My question is why would UNC apartments follow me on instagram if I live out of state and not looking for any apartments especially in North Carolina? Is this any sort of "sign" that I got accepted to the school. I haven't received an acceptance letter. What do you guys think?

I don’t think they would search for an applicant on Instagram lol. You probably just liked something they posted. I followed my number one school on twitter and a bunch of the campus food account followed me. I wouldn’t look into it too much. I’m not saying you didn’t get in, but they certainly aren’t dropping hints on you lol :)

Was it from this commercial organization? http://uncapartments.com/

Or from UNC itself?

If it is from the former, then UNC has shoddy privacy settings and your consumer info leaked out, was sold, or was hacked.

It is a sign for privacy leak and spam.
