is it able to live in campus without parties

im definitely going to UCSB but dont like party.
I heard Manzanita dorms are very quiet but hard to get in.
is it very competitive to get in there or its guaranteed as long as i turn in my Residence form?

You can definitely attend UCSB without partying. I have some friends who don't enjoy partying at all or drinking -- they've been doing fine. Manzanita is difficult to get into as a freshmen, and very difficult to get in for a single room no matter what your year. You have a bigger chance to get in during your second year with a roommate. Housing assignments are based off lottery.

Chances are, you're not going to get in if you're a first year.

tylove12 just curious, why are you choosing UCSB if you don't like the party scene?

It's impossible to not party at UCSB. Sometimes you go to bed early and wake up an hour later and a mile away grinding with some girl. It makes finals week very stressfull.

How can someone not like partying? UCSB will be a two-fold education for you I think.

maybe the OP is catholic and isnt allowed to have fun?

i know people at sb that dont party, i dont even go the, but parties wont come and bite you...so for you to worry about that isssss wierd
