Just wondering. For example, for the "Why NYU?" essay on the NYU supplement could an applicant use the same exact essay for the "Why Yale?" essay on the Yale supplement?

Are you allowed to do this? If not, are you allowed to reword it a little.

NYU and Yale are different, but say that there was a similar supplement essay for two schools. Like "What intrigues you?" Could I use the same exact essay for both schools?

as long as they didn’t make you check a box that says you can only send them essays unique to THEM, then it’s fine! if they care, it’s their fault for picking the same supplement as another school :P

I’m doing 20+ applications, so when I see a essay topic ambiguous enough or similar enough to a topic I’ve already wrote about that I can reuse my old essay or at least parts of it, you’re damn right I do lmao. So I hope I’m not breaking any rules :x
The other day just for the hell of it I decided to apply to a backup backup school (was a moment of low self-confidence) and I literally spent 5 minutes on my essay, just copy and pasting parts of other essays and putting it all together.
