<p>The prompt says, "Essays should be nor more than 250 words each." Mine is 263 words, and I can't take anything out without detracting from the essay. Will a few extra words be a problem?</p>
<p>that’s okay, the college isn’t going to count all the words in your essay. As long as the essay looks like 250 words, it’s fine.</p>
<p>I would go on the safe side and try to take out some words. Just look over your essay again. There are almost always phrases that are a little too wordy or ideas that could be re-worded in a better way.</p>
