I think I may have messed up royally.

This is my freshman schedule first semester...

Gen. Chem w/ lab
Calc II
other general curriculum requirements for my school

Second Semester
Gen Chem 2 w/lab
Multivariable Calc
Other GCR i.e. macroeconomics, freshman writing, east asian caligraphy (need something to satisfy fine art requirement)

Sophomore year-
Orgo ChemI
Intro Bio I

Orgo Chem II
Intro Bio II

Junior Year
Chem major requirements
Intro. Science major Physics I

Physics II

I screwed up and originally planned on taking Bio second semester of freshman year, but it turns out they don't offer it second semester. I don't know how I didn't see this before. What do you think of this schedule if I plan on taking the MCATs in April of 2012?

Just bump it til May.

I put myself in the same position with chemistry. You’ve definitely put yourself behind the curve but it’s not something you can’t overcome. However, it shouldn’t be a major issue for your unless you’re planning on taking multiple upper level biological sciences. Are you?

I took orgo and physics as a sophomore, and bio and the MCAT as a junior. It worked out well, I think, because I didn’t have to self-study any physics and everything MCAT-related in bio had already been taught.

Also don’t forget that putting the MCAT off until senior year and having a year off between UG and Med School isn’t exactly a bad idea either…

fwiw:

some colleges won’t let you take Bio until Soph year bcos one year of Chem is a prereq.

Can’t you take physics with orgo and intro bio?

But it shouldn’t really matter. Like shades said, you can just take the MCAT at the end of junior year in May (which is when most people take it anyway), or do what nilesedge said and take a year off in between.
