is it bad that i still dont have my textbooks?

i have following courses:

m408m, m316, mis302F, phy303k, phy103m, and mus302L.

i ordered all the required books on the 24th and 25th of august through amazon and austintxbooks.com (are these sellers reliable?)

do u guys think they r gonna be here soon?
do u think i'll be fine without the books for those courses for a few weeks?

thanks, im just really stressed and worried right now

I’m in the same boat as you now, well actually I haven’t even ordered mine yet (will do so later today).

I’m just worried about Calculus, since we have bookwork due everyweek. Should I just order that from the co-op so that I will at least have it in time?

Well it’s obviously bad if your prof requires them for homework. Most of mine have the first chapter available on blackboard. Others use Blackboard/ Webassign for homework. None of my classes actually require the textbook, though it’d be hard to learn anything without it.

do not worry. you will be fine. use the textbooks on reserve at the library for now.

xtra: thanks, i’ll try that

The library as in the PCL or another library on campus?

Also how does that work out (using library textbooks).

Most of the math books are on reserve at RLM, chem at the chem library, so on so forth.

The reserve textbooks are allowed check out time of only two hours, so people have to return the book after hours or they risk a hefty fine.

You can get around the two hour thing if you checkout just before closing time. Won’t have to return them until the next morning lol

bacdgk, yes that is an option. However, I always wake up late the next day and got a 15 dollar fine on one of the reserve books that way. Therefore, I don’t recommend doing that unless you have alarm clocks.
