I would like to know if it is bad to drop a class second semester. I am a current junior in high school would like to drop A.P. Caclulus A.B., as I recieved a C+ this semester. I am currently taking three additional A.P. courses along with that course as well as four UC Approved community college courses. My goal is to get into a U.C., particularly UCLA, and was wondering if by dropping this will decrease my chances substantially.

Bump…

How does your school deal with it? My Ds HS did not allow classes just to go away on transcript unless extenuating circumstances for withdrawal. Talk to guidance and be sure you wouldn’t be better off getting a tutor and trying to pull grade up.

Well because it is second semester, students can drop a class and transfer into a different one, but the first semester grade/credit will still be seen on the transcript.
