is it bad to have this class on transcript?

<p>I am taking a stress management class next semester as a PE. It involves yoga, breathing etc. I was wondering if it will make the ad. coms look at me negatively since they might think I am all stressed out and things related to that. I dont want it to be sticking out from the listing too much.</p>

<p>Have your advisor write somewhere that it is a required PE class. I have a class called “Team Tournament Sports” which I was worried would look like a slacker class, but it really is required for me to graduate :(</p>

i had “independent study pe”
when really i worked with kids with special needs and taught their gym classes.
i think they changed it to “special needs aid”</p>

<p>It makes me feel bad that I will have to be judged based on the PE class that I took. Why would this even matter? some schools dont even have a PE requirement. I want to go to School of Foreign Service, I’m not gonna be some kind of health professional with a degree in sports medicine. Labeling someone as a slacker because of PE…</p>

I don’t think that either the name of a PE course or the grade you get in it will have any effect on your application.</p>

<p>I withdraw my comment. Your school will mail, with their transcript, a description of their curriculum so colleges will see you were forced into that course.</p>

<p>^well, I certainly hope its wont affect me in any way but I doubt the school will show that I was “forced” into it. It does not explain that classes might close fast and you can end up in any PE regardless of your needs because of the graduation requirement - 3 PE’s in the first 2 years, and then some more… it is insane.</p>
