Ok. So neither math nor science are my best subjects, which sucks because that is basically all physics is. I am currently taking full ib classes and was planning on doing regents physics this year and ib bio next year, but i already know that physics is going to wreck my gpa. I was wondering how much worse it would look on applications if i did forensics this year and ib bio next year if i have already done regents bio and chemistry. I really don't want this to restrict the schools that i can get into by not taking physics at all, but on the other hand i am 100% sure that if i did take physics, i would get C's and D's rather than the A that i would get in forensics. Please help :( junior year sucks.

If you’re going to major in any kind of science (or even math, tbh), then you know the answer.

If your major is going to be Anthropology, then not having physics won’t be very detrimental.

It depends. What are you planning to study in college?

The math in physics is basic calculation, very basic trig, and some manipulation with formulas. This is honors and AP Physics B though. If you move into AP Physics C then you will be required to use some calculus (specifically basic derivatives and some integration).

I really have an interest in environmental science and english. I already took a general biology and am taking IB bio next year. Does physics effect any of this?

Regents physics would be easier than honors or AP certainly. I wouldn’t see a problem with taking forensics instead before you do your IB course. You might need to do physics in college though.
