Is it bad to stop taking spanish senior year??

I am currently in spanish 11 regular. Next year I would be in spanish 12 regular and I've heard that this class is a joke and you don't really learn anything. My schedule is packed next year and in order to make room for AP Statistics, I have to drop spanish 12 regular. Is it bad do to this? Someone told me that colleges like it if you continue spanish all four years of high school. Is it worth it to drop it for AP Statistics?

Here is my schedule for next year:

AP Economics
AP Calculus AB
AP Physics C
Senior Seminar - English, Soc, Performing Arts
AP Statistics or Spanish 12????

Well, depending on your college, the AP Stat credit might make it easier to work on a math-heavy degree. On the other hand, most colleges have a foreign language requirement that you might be able to fill with placement testing, if you keep studying spanish.

I feel that most colleges only require 3 years (or less) of a language, and that only a handful actually require 4. Can anyone confirm? I’m also planning on not taking a fourth year.

And by the way, AP stats is an awesome class. You’ll learn a ton.

Take the classes you want. no, it’s not bad.
