Is it best to complete "important" classes early?

Hi guys,

So I’m looking to apply to the UCs this Fall, and I am scheduled to complete CCC by next Spring with exactly 60 units.

As for the IGETC, I will be taking English 1 and college Math this Fall semester and will be taking English 2 next Spring. Also, I plan on taking my Science course with Lab in the Spring as well. So my question is, does it hurt to be taking English 2 & Science class right before transferring as opposed to taking them before next Spring? Or does it not matter as long as I complete the required courses?

Thank you!

That should be fine. Required are most important, as well as first English and math. The rest just get done.

The only issue might be if a TAG agreement said both English had to be completed by fall, but I don’t think any does (although one might- I can’t recall).

Wait hold up…you went to UCLA and graduated didn’t you? That’s what you told me via pm.

What’s going on here? Seeking a second bachelor’s degree?
