I was wondering if I would have a better chance of getting accepted if I applied as undecided. I want to major in computer science and am applying to some competitive engineering schools and my stats are pretty good, nothing fancy. Would it be better if I applied undecided?

Of course, if the major you choose is more competitive at the school then another example Penn Wharton for Business versus their Nursing school, you definitely are looking at two different acceptance rates/credentials Do not bank on applying undecided to a school, and then transfering into a harder program once accepted. Yes it can be done, but nothing is promised and it is competitive so the best advice is, if you truly are undecided go undecided and if you want a school for a certain major, apply for that major and just hope for the best! Odds are if you arent accepted into that major, then you werent meant to be there or couldnt academically handle their work.. Just apply and see what happens!

there are few schools that I know of who actually accept freshman according to major program. In my experience it generally really doesn't matter what you put down as your major, it just isn't a factor in admissions.
