Is it better to take an AP test and do badly, or take an AP class and then not take the test at the end?

Similarly, if a school requires 3 SAT II's, is it better to take 4 and pick your best 3 scores, or will schools see all 4, anyway?

Hmmm, those sounded much more related in my head. Oh well. Opinions?

you dont have to report the ap scores if you dont want to.

so....

The AP test is standardized so colleges have an idea of how much you've learned/your aptitude relative to everyone else. Grade inflation in schools is very common (kids in my school with better class rank than I have SAT scores in the 1400-1600 range...), so you've gotta prove yourself with the test.

Schools will see ALL SAT subject test scores.
