<p>I applied to a small liberal arts school for the November deadline. From what I have heard from college tours, apply early if that school is your top choice. Colleges are more likely to accept you if they know that you're very likely to come.</p>
<p>For public schools, it's usually recommended to get your application in as soon as possible.</p>
