<p>I've got a sub par sat score at about 1600 and I'm thinking that if I had more time to prep for the sat, and apply in the spring instead, I'll have a better chance of getting into the colleges of my choice. </p>

<p>Some schools do not have spring application. You need to check. If you think a test retake will yield you better results, you can currently line up schools with later application deadlines. </p>
<p>Concurrently, you might also apply to some schools with lower hurdles to assure yourself a spot somewhere come next Fall --as back up. What if you don’t get better scores or find schools you’ll like that have the later deadlines? Then you’re covered. Spk w/your guid counselor about your possible courses of action. Good luck</p>
