Is it better to get an associate degree or bachelor degree?

Hi All, I am currently enrolled at a university planning on transferring to CC. When I get there my major will be either be Information Technology or Computer Science. But my question is should I get an Associates or Bachelors? The only reason I really would get an Associates is so that I can move away earlier rather than later. Regardless I am still transferring to CC I will just transfer to another Uni. from CC

P.S. I am currently looking into Computer Engineering so I might dabble with that there. I don’t know yet.

The reason I am transferring is because my school doesn’t have either of my majors. And I would love to continue to do music in college. Also another thing I cannot do at my current school.

Thanks all.

At a community college can you receive a bachelors degree?

I think you’ll have a trouble getting into Computer Engineering without a bachelors. Same goes for comp sci and IT, but there are opportunities to get into the field with just an associate, but you’ll probably work longer than two years to get to the level entry level bachelor grads come into.

At community I would be receiving an associates. If I were to actually consider Computer Engineering as my major I would have to transfer to a four year institution after the completion of my associates.
