I'm Korean and I'm going to take the SAT II for Korean but I'm planning to take French for 4 years in high school. So, should I try taking both tests or just one of them.

I've heard that some colleges don't recommend taking the SATII language if that's your native language...

Why not? I think that it's great if you can take the SATII even if it is for your first language.

ya, but some colleges might not take the score since it is pretty much expected that u know your first language pretty well

I would advise that you take the Korean and then three others that you can score highly on.

i think take as many as u can as long as u can score high on them, if u can hav another 800, i dont see how tht could hurt you.

how many SAT II's would colleges like to see?

3 at most.

they'll count 3 at most....the highest 3. Many selective schools have gone to 2.

And only special programs (like applying to a school of engineering specifically) and specialty schools (like MIT) will tell you which areas you need SAT II's in. The rest will say math and something else, or just take whatever you want.

Take both! :-)

What if you score the same score on all your SAT IIs and let's say that you had 6 (exaggeration of course). Then how would it work?

the question is "is it better to take more SATII's or less" it is always better to take more than the recommened SATII's than to take less also most only take into consideration you top 2 or 3 scores so if u take 4 or 5 SATII's there will be more a selection to choose from and give your more of a chance of scoring high. THat being said only take SATII's in subject in which you excel in and feel that you know the material while a mid 600 wont hurt you if you take a test that you are not prepared for and get in the 500s that might look bad to adcoms even if you other scores are above average

I guess they would ask you which ones you would want them to take.
