Is it common to date at college there?

Not many date at school here it mostly all happens at university and college, but from what bits I've been told is that everyone put 100% into college and dating/going out is rare is this true?

what?

.

Not at my school! Dating happens all the time!!!! It's the most popular (and fun!!!) thing to do!!!

I don't know anyone who is all 100% school and no fun and dating. That's crazy. You would go insane if all you did was school related all the time.

I think what she means isnt that people are 100 % work and no play but that kids are more likely to just go out and party with friends for fun and either be in commited relationships with bf/gf or randomly hookup like at parties rather than doing the whole formal dating process. In my opinion, I think its not really dating like the whole courtship process as with adults, I mean you meet people from classes or around campus and just hang out and if there's mutual attraction, things progress.

Thankyou ndhawk!I totally agree with you.I wondered if dating was more popular in US schools than in colleges and universitites.

It depends on the school. At some schools the dating scene is pretty dead, with most people going for hook-ups.

I think it also depends on the person. There are people out there who don't really want to date they just want to 'have fun', then there are the people who'd rather date a bunch of different types of people, but at the same time there are still those people who date to get into a relationship. You can generally find what type of person your looking for at any campus you go to.
By the way how'd you know I was a girl ndhawk

I think she might mean college = high school? Isn't there something like in British slang or am I just smoking something?

I don't!!LOL!! Your High School is our Senior School, your college is our university. We leave school at 16....Yey!

meep. you also have A levels which are much harder than any standardized tests in the US.

Our A-Levels are equivelent to probably the start of a degree in the US, you can imagine the sleep I get considering I finishing 3 of them at the moment!!
I wouldn't mind but they come before a degree.....

no dating in college? you are probably thinking of Harvard, or an all womens college, or maybe a military academy. haha.

people date all the time. maybe at top school not as much as you average state university, but people def still date a lot.

Haha people definitely don't put 100% into school. There are a few night dedicated to partying. But I think people who have relationships are in the minority, as most people probably have more short-term hookups.

Who actually puts 100%into work?.....NO-ONE!Hahaha!!With crap going on here (boy wise),I think I wanna be prepared to move on if its defo over.I'm not sayin' I wanna date dont get me wrong but it'll be good to have the freedom and the option...anyone agree or am I being weird??

No, not being weird. Dating is totally there if you want it, especially if you're going to Boston (I think that's what you said somewhere?)

Yer....I'm looking forward to going!!!Whats so different with Boston and dating?

It's not different lol, I was just saying that there are EVEN MORE opportunities to date in Boston because there are a lot of college-aged kids in the area and it's a city after all. City = more people = more opportunities to date
