Is it difficult getting into premed program

<p>Right now, I have a 3.52 unweighted GPA and a 94% weighted average. I have a ACT superscore of 26, a 24 without superscore, and an 8 on the ACT writing? Is it possible to get in? :(</p>

<p>There’s not really a premed “program.” Basically you would apply to SAS and/or SEBS, taking the premed requirements along with classes for your chosen major. You have to keep your gpa high for med school applications. </p>

<p>It’s hard to chance people when Rutgers takes other things into consideration such as financial aid, how early you applied, etc. All I can say is, make sure to apply before the early action deadline. Especially since they are decreasing the amount of people they are accepting this year.</p>

Improved retention is one of the reasons why total enrollment has grown again this year. While Newark and Camden have more room to grow and intend to do so, New Brunswick is now at its full capacity, some would say over capacity. We want to make sure there are enough classrooms, buses, and student services to provide a first-rate experience. So next fall Rutgers will reduce the size of the entering first-year class in New Brunswick by about 4 percent, and we will likely close the admission process on this campus earlier than in the past. This will not shrink total enrollment, especially as retention continues to improve, but it will contribute to preventing the further overcrowding that could compromise a Rutgers education.

<p>Do I have to apply to both SAS and SEBS? On the application, I put SAS and SEBS down along with Pre-Med/Dental for interest right???</p>
