I plan on going to a CC from NU because I do not have the grades to get in. I have a 2200 SAT I and a 33 ACT. So I'm pretty sure I'm in the range as far as those two are concerned.

I am trying to take a few subject tests as well.

I have taken 5 AP's but like I said, my GPA is really bad, I basically failed freshman year (long story) and that has pretty much killed my GPA.

Would doing really well @ CC for a year even matter to Northwestern? I am very interested in attending but they accept a little less than 1/4 of all transfers.

hmm, last time I checked, you had a 2.0 in high school, and do not have a 2200 on you sat I. Weren’t you crying on SDN that you got a 1300? LIAR!!! And no, you haven’t taken 5 ap’s either. Nice try.

jefgreen—answering as a mom-----you know you did not work to your capacity, and you seem to now be willing to pay the price by going to a CC. My guess-IF–you nail your classes the rest of your HS/beginning CC, retake the SAT or the ACT-develop your EC profile-- you have a shot. And because you have a shot—you have EVERYTHING to gain by working toward that goal. G’Luck! APOL-a mom
