How difficult is it to get the courses you want at Berkeley with the professor you want in a popular major?

ummm it's pretty competitive... so it's pretty hard, but every class at prestigious colleges will be like that so you have to deal with it.

it depends on your telebears enrollment, for incoming freshmen its up to CalSO dates. the sooner, the better.

If it's a very small class, say capped at 15 people or something like that (which some senior seminars might be) with a very well known professor, particular one of the more celebrity professors, it can be really tough. It's often possible to get into many classes by sticking it out for a few weeks.

For the most part it's not hard. Only the occasionally really popular class maybe. That and the ones that everybody and their dog signs up for (Bio 1A, etc.). Those fill up fast. But I'd say generally 90% of your classes you won't have trouble getting (unless you have really sucky telebears).
