Is it Difficult???

How difficult is the Literature SAT II? I plan on taking the US History and Math IC on June as well and figured that I would take the Literature. I opted to take the IC because it required less preparation even though I would be capable of taking the IIC. Regardless, I don't plan on doing any preparation for the Literature SAT II and just going in the day of to take it. Is this a wise choice to take the Literature with no preparation? Currently, if this affects your advice, I'm taking IB English HL and consider extract anaylsis and literature one of my academic fortes.

Yeah man, trust me, things aren't always as they appear. I consider Big Pimpin' as one of my academic fortes. I was enrolled in IB Big Pimpin' HL last year and I felt confident I could take the SAT II. Really, though, it was very difficult. Who knew that the pimp cup is formally held with the left hand? It was very difficult. I got a 710, but it was only 45%-ile because lots of Big Pimps take it. I'm serious man, and if you think SAT II Big Pimpin' was difficult, the FRQ's for AP Big Pimpin' were amazingly difficult.

If you're interested, I've heard SAT II Ballin' and Shot Callin' and SAT II Literature are both a little easier.

That was just lame, man.

nah i enjoyed his posts.. brings a little humor to the boards

If English is one of your strengths, then the SAT II Lit test really isn't that bad. I took it without any preparation, and while I won't know for certain until next week, I think I did pretty well.

the literature is really hard in my opinion. know your poetry well

I have no knowledge of the SAT II Lit, but I remember someone posting on these boards that its 'like the SAT CR section on steroids'

perhaps you should go through some practice questions?

I took the SAT lit; i got a 750, which was my goal. I actually used Kaplan, b/c it had eight practice tests (maybe it was an older edition). My practice scores were right about my actual score (avg. 730- 760) so I would just take all those practice tests. Btw, my first practice score was a 680, so don't freak out like i did.
