Is it easier to get in early action or regular decision with low grades???

I have a pretty low GPA, its a 3.1(big upward trend tho 2.46, 3.0, 3.8) and I'm probably going to be applying to a couple of schools(prob 10+) and i'm also a URM(African-American). Anyway I'm just wondering with my stats(I'm aiming for a 30 on the ACT) is it better that I apply early or regular to schools like Syracuse, Rochester, Umiami, OSU, UMD and Pitt.

Neither is necessarily better than the other. I would go EA for the sake of getting to know sooner though :P… Go regular if you feel your application overall would be much better if you were to apply then…

I disagree with this.

You’ve asked this question twice in the College Admissions forum (why? I wonder), but the answer you got in your other post is the correct one.

Your early grades are quite low in comparison to your later grades. If you apply early, they won’t have your grades from first semester of senior year before they review your file; if you wait and apply RD, they will. You want them to see that additional semester of good grades.
