Is it easier to get into grad school if....

you went to the same undergrad? Like is it easier to get into Princeton grad if you've been to Princeton undergrad?

yes it is easier

It depends. Some programs refuse to admit their own students to prevent academic inbreeding. They want their undergrads to get a wider perspective, which they may not get by having the same professors.

For the others, it's a little easier in that your professors already know you. If you're interested in grad school, you probably will have already done research for them during undergrad, so they know what they're getting.

Generally, yes

Depends on the school I think. I heard for MIT, it's easier to get into its grad school if you've attended it for undergrad but for Berkeley, such a thing is discouraged.
