Can anyone please answer this for me? Is it easier to transfer to UCs as an international student? Or California resident has priority over transfer to UCs? I know some of you may feel like it's not a good question. However, due to the budget cut, I wonder if California's college system would give priority to international student or out-of-state student for they have to pay more?

It’s never easier for int. student. However, if there are two students with similar stats (good GPA, mediocre EC, decent essay), then the int. student may have a slight advantage because he/she will be paying more. But of course, coming from CCC will give you the top priority, regardless of your residency status

what???
we are the tax payer. how can uc take in int when int has similar stats with resident.

I hear people say, UC would take the resident if int happen to have similar stats.

I say “may”, not always the case lol. But quite frankly, you don’t need to care about this if you have good stats :).

International transfer applicants have the lowest priority. CCC transfers have first priority, then other California transfers, then out-of-state transfers, then international.

International students who are attending CCC are sort of in-between because they are well prepared academically (meeting the transfer requirements) but have lower priority because of their status (international).
