I'm not saying that im not happy with the school I'm going to, I havn't even started school there yet. I was just wondering if its easy to switch?

anyone going to answer?

Boarding schools don’t really like it when someone wants to switch in the middle of their first year. By “boarding schools”, I mean both the school you are going into this year, and the school(s) you are applying for. There are going to be many difficulties–the teachers, for example, might not be so willing to write recommendations for you after only knowing you for half a year.

My advice would be to at least try to like your current school. Come fall, at least enter the school with an open mind–you may be surprised. (Which school are you attending?)

However, if you truly find that it just doesn’t fit you, then transfer. But be sure to explain your reasons in your short essay/interview so that the admissions officers will think of it in a more positive light. Good luck! :)
