So I have just done a practice test and got 1760 (590/560/610). I don't think these scores really reflect my real knowledge. It is just I am not well prepared yet.

Is it even possible for me to get into the range of 2100 to 2200 by October ??

Yes. I improved from a 178 PSAT sophomore year to a 2000 SAT junior year with no proper preparation . Now I have the summer to really get down to studying so hopefully I’ll be able to knock my score up 200+ points in another one or two sittings. I found that simply familiarizing myself with the SAT raised my score a bit.

Also, most people find it fairly easy to raise a 1700 as it just requires going over some basic concepts, whereas going upwards from a 2000 requires a lot more as you really need to go over all of your mistakes and understand what you got wrong and why they were wrong.

yes it is definetly possible with proper studying
172 on the PSAT (no studying). i scored a 1870 (710 M, 530 CR, 630 W) in March (no studying). took a few practice tests in CR and W. in June i got a 2060 (760 M, 610 CR, 690 W)
i also plan to study over the summer and i’m shooting for a 2200 now. I would suggest buying the Kaplan Workbooks (they are what i used and they helped out a lot because they explained every single answer in the book and why it is correct)

My junior yr PSAT CR and Writing scores were 520 and 530 respectively.

My SAT CR and Writing scrores were 670 and 720 respectively. No classes or tutoring. All I did was take practice tests (like 3) from the Blue Book. Just remember for CR that every answer is found in the reading. Really! That simple fact helped me out a bunch. Just keep it in mind when answering the questions.

For writing, well maybe I can credit AP English Comp for the boost. Just know basic grammar rules. And write a good essay.

Thanks guys. You all’s comments make me feel better. Is there any specific strategy that you guys suggest me to do like what to do or what book to use ??
