Would I have any chance whatsoever of getting in here with a 2.9 gpa and 29 act?
Your GPA would put you in the bottom 17% of incoming freshman. (See https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/college-university-search/manhattan-college). However, your ACT would certainly put you in the top 50% – possibly the top 25%. So it depends on how they weight GPA vs. the standardized tests, given that both are listed as “Very Important.”
From they way they write the acceptance letter that my DD just received, it seems like they really pay attention to recommendations and the essays as well.
If you like the college, give it a shot.
