Is it even worth applying?

Hey,
Like everyone else here I want to apply. For the last couple years I never thought I would seeing that Harvard rejects more people than they actually take. I think that Harvard may help me extend my knowledge but at the same time I know that life moves on and there will be other opportunities. So do I even have a shot here or not?
My grades: 93% average
ACT: 29
Outside of school: volunteer at the local hospital, I am part of the Lions volunteer organization.
Involved in my schools: National honor society, aviation club, environmental club, reading bowl, and I am on the Library student board.
Spent my last summer in Italy on a scholarship learning the culture/language/history.
My parents are refugee's from Russia. I am fluent in both Russian and English. My dad is a truck driver and I also work to help support my family.
I know that many other people have the same grades/clubs/activities so people of Harvard is it even worth a try.
Oh I have random Honors/AP classes here and there. I love books I read everything that I can get my hands on. I first wanted to apply to Harvard because I read a book by Emma Dench. I want to be a philosophy major maybe. I don't know what else is needed since this is basically all they ask on the application.

It’s worth applying as long as your application isn’t so atrocious that you have virtually no shot of getting in. Yours doesn’t seem to be that atrocious, so apply.

Absolutely, it’s worth applying. As Dwight stated, unless your application is atrocious (and your application isn’t bad at all), you should definitely apply.
