Is it even worth it?

Here's my story: I didn't get accepted to my first choice school (an ivy league that's nearby) and I didn't really have back up plans; I just applied to some public and one private school (all of which have accepted me). Still, I feel like I will not enjoy the college experience at any of these schools and I can't try to transfer because the school that has broken my heart does not have a transfer program.

SO....is it worth it (and is it even possible) to put this whole thing off and try again next year? I would take the tests over, be more prepared, have better backups and perhaps work or travel and use my time to learn a new language or make a documentary (or both!).

You can always take a gap year if you feel that it is better for you.

Here's a discussion about taking a gap year. It might help you out a bit.
