<p>I don’t think there is any harm in applying. But, it doesn’t look good with that class rank.</p>
<p>I know someone with a suboptimal rank who got in. I can’t remember the exact rank, but it was definitely out of the top 10%</p>

<p>They went away from the ranking-based admissions this year in Mccombs, so that’s nothing but good news for you. I remember seeing more people accepted with lower class ranks but high SAT scores. </p>
<p>And just put McCombs as your first choice major. If you don’t make it in, there’s no harm done.</p>
