Is it good to retake a C grade at another community college, even if not counted in transfer-GPA?

Just planning to take a year off back home out-of-state.. and have plenty of time to take some courses for the enjoyment of it at the community college here.

Was wondering, should I.. (mean ..might as well) retake a C class earned at my previous community college? Just to show some sort of improvement/persistence? Or.. would it be better just to take some new courses?

Wouldn’t it be better to retake the class at the community college to improve your GPA?

@lpcstudent It would be wonderful, but retaking a C isn’t possible, as it’s recognized as being “passing”. I’d be able to retake improve my GPA if I’d get anything lower than it… or just dropped it if it was in the same college.

Why is it impossible? Does your school prohibit it? Retaking a passing course can raise financial aid issues, but federal aid will generally cover one retake (states may differ).
