I know that Pomona College is prestigious in the terms of liberal arts colleges, and i know that it produces some of the highest acceptance rates into grad school, but if i want the option of not going to grad school after going to Pomona, would i have a hard time getting a job?
I heard that the classes at Pomona are more introductory and general as compared to the UC's, is that true?
Also, if it isn't hard to get a job, would it just be that it's easier getting a job around the area the LAC is; next to Pomona, LA?

Thanks.

employers know of Pomona same as grad schools . My son and his classmates, recent grads have jobs across the country, New York, Boston, L.A. ,Chicago. Some are working and then going on after a yr to grad school. Others have no current plans for more scooling

Companies from across the country go to campus to recruit, so as arizonamom said - you’ll find grads everywhere. As for comparing Pomona to the UCs, S graduated from UCLA but majored in design|media arts - so he’s been gainfully employed, mostly self-employed but always working, since graduating in '05. With a liberal arts degree, D will have different but just as good options.
