same as the title

If you have completed your Business Prerequisites and have significant progress towards your General Education Requirements (GERs), with a 3.4+GPA, then you should have no problem.

Are you already @ Emory, prospective student, or already been admitted?

they accept somewhere like 75% of applicants once you're at emory

Yeah, I think as long as you haven't done too badly in your GBS Pre-Requisites and done a fair amount of the general requirements, its pretty easy to get in. You do have to write a short essay and get a professor recommendation, though.

from the dean of the business school:

Right now if you have a 3.4 gpa you're basically in as long as you aren't a convicted felon

below a 3.0 you're basically out with the exception of an amazing entrepreneur with his/her own successful company

In-between 3.0 and 3.4 is where there is a lot of uncertainty.

my personal opinion:

expect the standards to increase over the next couple of years. The bschool was only recently ranked in the top 5, which has been drawing many more applicants. By the time the class of 2012 starts applying, a 3.4 may be required.

how hard is it to maintain a 3.5 gpa? do u guys grade on a curve?

hard is relative and based on a lot of different factors (classes, teachers, high school preperation...)

Business school classes, including pre-reqs, are graded on a curve with 35% recieving A's or A-'s.

From personal expereince I would say that it is not hard to maintain a 3.5, but I'm sure there are others who would disagree.
