I am afraid that if I go to college and don't like engineering, that I won't be able to switch out of it. This is because I have 3 options of what I want to do.
Something law-related, medical-related, or engineering-related.

Is it hard to switch from a college of engineering into a college of arts and sciences?

It is far easier to switch from engineering to something else compared to the other way around. If you even think you want to do engineering, you need to sign up for the engineering calculus and physics series to stay on track for a 4-year plan. If you switch out to something else, these ‘extra’ math and science classes can be math and science electives for any other major. Many engineers do actually go on to med school, some go into law (patent law) so your time will not be wasted by any means.
