I recently got accepted to UCR..but I don't really wanna go there. UCR is my backup of all the other UC's I applied to. I also applied to 2 CSU's-CSU San Bernardino and CSU Los Angeles. I am still deciding if I should go to a CSU and then transfer to a UC or just attend a UC and transfer. My #1 choice is UCSD but I doubt that I have a chance of getting accepted. I guess that means I'll need to transfer after 2 years or so. I think it is easier to transfer from a CSU to a UC instead of UC to a UC...am I right? My question is..
if transferring from a UC to another UC is very hard? Or is it almost the same as transferring from a CSU? Please help me! thanks.

not really easier, easiest is a CC to a UC, they are at the top of the list transfer-wise in the UC system. CSU to UC is at the bottom, if I am remembering correctly.

This might help you determine which route you take. The only difference between the two systems is in admissions priority and information provided about the courses you are taking:

California Community College - Highest Admission priority. Most information provided to student. Information about transferable courses, courses recommended/required for your major preparation (exact courses at your community college) and General Education requirements is provided through the Welcome to ASSIST website. Transfer Admissions Guarantee program also avilable at most campuses.

UC - All units will transfer between UC to UC. However, no information is given on which courses you will need to complete to properly prepare for your major or for admissions.

CSU/Out of State - No information provided on unit transferability or what courses needed to properly prepare for your program.

Regardless of what system you will attend the same admissions requirements will be required for admissions.

in order of easiest to hardest:

ccc
uc
csu
california 4 year
out of state

so while it is definitively easier to transfer from a ccc, it is not much more difficult.

i think 90% of transfers are from cc

in order of easiest to hardest:

ccc
uc
csu
california 4 year
out of state

king i'm confused by your very similar post. explain?

and turkeey the percentage of those who are ccc transfers has nothing to do with the acceptance rates, because way less people apply from uc then those who apply from ccc.
