I know a lot of people take the route of a CC before they transfer, but going to a CC isn’t really an option for me. If I were to attend another school, specifically Washington and Jefferson College (liberal arts school in Pennsylvania), would my chances of being able to successfully transfer decrease? I know some schools prioritize kids that go to a CC first, so would going to a different college than trying to transfer be difficult? I really want to attend Chapman, but I won’t be able to take the CC route, so I’m afraid I may not be able to transfer at all.
If you have a good college GPA and you aren’t trying to get into Dodge Film School then you should be OK. Chapman is a private college in California so they do not give any priority to CA community colleges. It just makes it easier to figure out which classes will transfer to Chapman and their general ed requirements. Go into their transfer credit matrix. They have a lot of colleges listed. If you don’t find your college (which is highly likely coming from East Coast) then make a phone appt with the transfer counselor to review requirements.

A lot of this has to do with major. Dodge College at Chapman is notoriously difficult to transfer into, but it does happen.
Is pre law a difficult course to transfer into? I plan on trying transfer for spring admission, or fall 2016, which I know is sooner than most people, which is why I was wondering if this would make it more difficult.
