The Unz article is one of the most slippery, illogical, poorly reasoned articles I have ever read. It is amusing that someone who would favorably cite that article will say “it’s indeed very frustrating to see there are so many spin doctors on this forum trying to mislead kids.” I think we know who is the leading spin doctor on this forum!

Rumors? Like that a face book group proves discrimination and a study that its own author said was limited and based on old data? Then media darling books ?? Oh yeah. Lets get this thread closed. Its become a soapbox.

Not to mention the putdowns. I am wondering, ■■■■■?

@SoCalDad2, okay, lots of naming calling and emotional adjectives…what is your arguments against Unz’s view? Please be as specific as possible. I am all ears.

@lookingforward, your negative view comes no surprise to me because people are disagreeing with you. However, i am yet to see compelling arguments from you other than calling others ■■■■■.

Do we really a whole school of people afraid to go beyond where the author takes us or even challenge the professor? This is what Adcom understands. It’s not a memorizing the SAT. It’s about being strong enough to change the world thing.

Don’t give me the kid who may have scored a 100 points higher on the SAT (BTW that’s only about 6 additional questions right) but who’s afraid to leave his room. Give me the kid with the lower SAT, but who’s strong to go outside and change the world. Diversity makes everyone stronger not weaker.
