<p>No, all applications are considered if ALL materials are received by the deadline. Go ahead and submit what you have so far and request your fall grades be sent. It takes time for your HS records and letters of recommendation to be sent. They have been postponing applicants now to wait to see if they have room for them after the deadline.</p>
<p>Is it more difficult to get admitted if you apply after the first notification period?</p>
<p>As above- no. The deadline is February 1st. The only advantage to the first period is getting an answer- for some it is “postponed” which means they’ll get their decison after UW admissions has a chance to evaluate the rest of the applications to come.</p>
