Hi everyone!
I'm thinking of doing communication or PR major, which are parts of the
Annenberg school.
But then again, I might change my mind once I get to college.
So is Annenberg harder to get into than the college?
Do you think it is wiser to get in to the college than transfer to Annenberg
if that's possible?

I would apply to Annenberg. I've heard transferring is much more difficult. If you don't make it into Annenberg, your application is automatically reviewed for the general college instead. So you can't lose.

depends which part of annenberg- annenberg has a journalism and communication program--and the journalism program is MUCH smaller, so therefore harder to get into. i'd go to the annenberg website and check out the stats of how many they admit each yr. as far as i know, annenberg is one of the smaller schools.

this may take some correction, but i think...in a nutshell, if you apply to one of the professional schools (e.g. Annenberg, Viterbi, etc.), you are accepted to the College before you're accepted to that particular school...if that school doesn't accept you, assuming you don't have a second choice major, you are admitted undeclared.

so i would apply to Annenberg now...if you get in great, it'll save you trouble later on. if not, you can still be in the College and apply to Annenberg later.

ABSOLUTELY apply to Annenberg. I listed Communication as my first choice and English (in the College) as my second choice. Didn't get accepted as a Comm major, but I got my second choice. You can always transfer later!

(Or if you get lucky, talk to an adviser at Orientation...that's what I did, and all I had to do was fill out an info sheet that took ~30 seconds...they took a look at my application again, and I was accepted the next day)
