I'm going to a college that only has dorms for freshmen and all of them are suit style. Everybody has their own room with 4 rooms in a suit that has a kitchen and living room and separate bathrooms. Will it be harder to make friends at this college than other schools that have regular dorms where everybody keeps the door open to meet people in the hall? I want to keep my bed room door open but the only people who would possibly come in to talk would be my 3 other suit mates or anybody that decides to walk through our suit to the bed rooms in the back which I'm not sure if they would feel comfortable just going into a suit like that. I know I would not feel comfortable just going into someones suit and walking through to the back to see if someones room is open and if they want to talk.
this is the layout of the dorms

No. If you were the only one with a suite style dorm then it might be a little harder, but since everyone has those dorms, everyone will be out looking for friends. I’m sure the school will have orientation events and you’ll meet lots of people there!

Not at all. My school is the same and it literally has no effect on whether you will make friends or not. As long as you attend school stuff and are outgoing you will make friends.
