Is it important to do full practice tests?

Yea I hate doing 3-4 hours and there’s not that many tests anyway. But it’s definitely important to do a few at least, can anyone answer my question above?

Do I do writing sections together or separate them and do them in 2 days since one section is 10 minutes…

And do I skip the essay when I practice section or full test?

hello???..

D did 4 full length practice tests. She interspersed the full length tests by spending the rest of the BB and CB SAT online just doing CR because she was usually doing 800s in M and W. You can grade the CR separately, just do the 3 sections and then grade it and get your score. For the W, you never really know what you will score, because there is no way to get it graded. Although she still wrote the essay during her 4 full length practice tests for the timing practice of it. We hired a SAT writing tutor for 2 hrs to get score estimates from him. Final results were 2380. 780/800/800

yes it’s VERY important! You know the saying “The more you sweat in training the less you bleed in battle”?

@YoHoYoHo - Right, I’m focusing on my math and cr atm because I think writing has less tests and is easier to prepare…I am almost sure I can get a 750 on Math because my ONLY mistake is not reading the question/answer choices right…

So I’m doing section by section in the blue book starting from test 4, so CR,M,CR,M, etc. I can get a ???/800 score but for example I can get a 17/24 for CR and 19/20 for Math, that’s good enough for me I guess.

I’m going through the PWN the SAT Math Guide and it’s so good!
And for CR, I’m going through vocabs quickly, just trying to be familiar with them.

So for writing, do I take 2 sections together? Like take the longer section then take a 5 minutes break and finish section 10?

I am well on my way to improve M and W but for CR not as much…
I have
[The Insider’s Essential Guide to SAT Critical Reading and Vocabulary: Larry Krieger: 9780985291228: Amazon.com: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Insiders-Essential-Critical-Reading-Vocabulary/dp/0985291222)

There are 600 vocabs, it’s been 3 weeks and I’ve only gone through 1/4 of the vocabs and there are reading strategies after the vocabs, I have about 25 days left. what should I do for CR? I’m currently practicing tests.

I’m also writing these vocabs and definitions down and I’m not doing it everyday.

Should I just read through the 600 vocabs and move on to the 2nd half of the book? I still gotta study for M and W…

And through the 4-5 CR sections I’ve done, 2/3 of my incorrect questions are in passages, I get like 1-2 for sentence completions, so what should I do for Jan 25 SAT?

Yes!! I thought that full length practice tests were the best methods to prepare for the real SAT

Whaat…

Unless time is a problem, I found it helpful to do 1-3 sections at a time, particularly in the sections I were weak at. By doing this I could scrutinize my errors with more detail without tiring out or losing focus.

Yea :)

But can you answer my question on the previous post?

How is your studying progressing? Do you find that you’re doing better on the overall tests by studying a section at a time?

Lol both tbh, I’m taking the test in 9 days, and you have ti find time to do both but more full tests when you’re close to test date.
