Really want to go to a great California grad school (Stanford, Caltech, Berkeley, UCLA) eventually, but I'm feeling pretty screwed. I'm an engineering undergrad just finished 3rd year ECE but I've perpetually been a B student (seriously, I have like a 75 on the dot). The current school I'm at is ranked decently for engineering (top 15) and is supposedly quite difficult for undergrad.

Well, is it possible? What miracles might I have to pull off? I was thinking I'd need to stick around at my current school for a Master's and use that year and 4th year to pull up my grades significantly while trying to get really good recommendation letters thru research.

EDIT - Also another thing that I could use to my advantage - I'm currently doing a one year work term before I return. So currently I'm going to use this year to pre-study a few of the courses I want to take in 4th year (how else do I get marks? I don't know...) and then the summer before 4th year definitely find a professor to do some research with. But yeah, basically there's 16 months for me to use to improve my situation.

Thanks.
