Is it just me or am I in trouble?

Hey guys, I am in 10th grade, and I take Calculus BC AP. So I was kinda freaking out before (I have a “little” anxiety problem), and I got a B last semester in Calculus, and I was wondering how much this B really hurt my chances of getting into good colleges, like CMU for instance?

Thanks a lot.

Just work harder next semester, and if you end the year with an A- or something it wont even matter. A B in BC Calc does not look bad at all, its a hard class. Dont worry

Agree with above.

You’re a sophomore in college taking an advanced college course.

It’s absolutely OK to be less than perfect.

^^Oops-- sophomore in high school.

Did you get the B because you couldn’t keep up or because you made careless mistakes? (Is this perhaps your first B?) If you don’t get some of the concepts, seek help from classmates or the teacher. If it’s careless mistakes, do more problems. Keep the focus on thoroughly learning and internalizing the material, not the grade.

The fact that you’re taking Calc BC as a sophomore and getting a B speaks well for you. Also, if you can get a 5 on the exam, that will show you have a good grasp (but don’t freak out if you get a 4). Continue your math through out high school and continue the challenge.
